And So the Garden Season Begins Again
Starting Turmeric indoors:
I am just too excited to get the garden started, for our Zone 8 B now is the time to start Turmeric and Ginger indoors. I have never grown either of them so it’s a new experience waiting to happen. From doing my research I learned that you have to keep them warm, between 75-80 degrees F, so a heating pad is necessary, also as they sprout they need to be under lights, they also need to be kept very damp, I chose to start them in coco core, so please wish me luck, I will post again when they are sprouting, it can take up to 2-4 weeks.
My goals for this year are to plant more herbs and veggies for medicinal tinctures, balms and honeys to add to my herbal medicine cabinet and goal # 2 is to use less plastic containers for growing.
